Propagate — a procedural, AI-driven farm simulation game

Propagate is a free, AI-driven browser farming simulation (sim game) played on desktop or tablet. Every farmer is an autonomous agent, grown procedurally with rolled ability scores and a real personality: they till fields, form bonds, barter goods, invent recipes, hold elections, and stand watch against orc raids — all rendered in pixel art under a CRT shader. Found a human town or an orc war-hoard; your town persists in your browser and remembers itself, greeting you with a "previously on" catch-up when you return. A world that remembers itself.

Made by Ryan Haigh. Released July 30, 2026. Also known as the Propagate game or Propagate farm sim.

Frequently asked questions

Is Propagate free to play? Yes — free in a desktop or tablet browser, no download, no account, no ads. Does Propagate use AI? Yes, in the classic sense: every farmer is an autonomous agent whose rolled stats and personality drive its decisions — an agent-based simulation. It does not call large language models during play; the simulation is deterministic and runs entirely in your browser. Can I lose my town? It persists in your browser's local storage — clearing site data erases it, otherwise it waits and recaps what happened while you were away. Is it multiplayer? Single player, in a world of neighbouring towns your town can encounter, raid, and remember.
